The first national Nonprofit Congress just wrapped up in DC. You can follow this event online at their blog.
Peter Thompson, Director of the Senior Center and Board member of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, was one of the 22 delegates from across Virginia.
Other Virginia delegates included the University of Richmond's Dr. Nancy Stutts, founder of ConnectRichmond, VCU's Kristen Kaplan, co-founder of ActivateRichmond, and Bert Schmidt, President of WVPT Virginia's Public Television.
Delegate Ester Baker, also from VCU, is completing a dissertation on the perceptions and practices of nonprofit accountability among business leaders who serve on nonprofit boards.
